Designer : Jeremy ScottAtmosphere: A green wall composed of coloured flowers for the setting. Collection: ballerinas in tutus of coloured tulle, embroidered, feathers and jewelling, a bit punk with fishnet tank tops and biker boots. More sophisticated with tied bustiers and pearl necklaces. After the ballerinas, came flower women who plucked petals and bloomed on the catwalk (Irises, Roses, Poppies, Orchids…) a real floral bouquet of the most bucolic nature. To note: the studded bags, the hat and the baseball cap on the head. Interview with Jeremy Scott:I was just thinking about all these things that are so feminine, pastels, tutus and little girl’s dreams like My Little Pony and all this femininity and all these dreams about being a ballerina which is a tough job, they struggle and they bleed and you have to be tough as nails. The biker jacket with the studs, you have to have this toughness, it’s this contrast. Tough girl but with this femininity and beauty. A novice ballerina becomes a prima ballerina, a seed becomes a flower, a caterpillar becomes a butterfly so there’s this cathartic moment I was thinking about for the finale this idea that now you’ve succeeded and now you are this thing of beauty that everyone loves and the bouquet of roses is being thrown to the stage for the ballerina. Everyone loves a flower and it’s a thing of beauty as everyone should love a woman and treat her like a thing of beauty.
