Come backstage at the Tommy Hilfiger show with makeup artist Mark Carrasquillo and hairstylist Eugene Souleiman as they tell us about their version of the 'Tommy girl'. Mark Carrasquillo: We wanted to do a matte black, really intense eye, no shine at all. Brushed up brows, really young, really rock&roll, really cool girl. No tricks, just a matte black eye, following the shape of her eye, then really real skin, so the girl feels really real. Eugene Souleiman: For me, it’s still the Tommy Girl, but this tommy girl is a little bit tougher, she’s more urban and she’s quite strong. My approach for the hair is very similar to that, I wanted to do something that’s more raw than what we normally do, something that feels like it’s been to a concert and been dancing – not too clean.A very loose, a very nonchalant kind of feeling to the hair which is, for me, very youthful. The girls in the show really like the way they look and I think it’s really nice when someone goes out there and they feel really comfortable with how they look, it helps make a good show because the energy’s really good.
