Antonio Marras - Women's Autumn-Winter 2017/18 collection in Milan (with interview)

Designer : antonio marrasinspiration : eva mameli botanist and pina bausch dancer and choreographercasting : varied, women, men, young, old, models, artists to symbolize the universality and diversity of fashion.collection : a wardrobe based on the work of materials and on the mix & match of motifs. everything is mixed together, flowers, stripes, leopard prints, checks. each piece of the wardrobe is enriched with decorative elements.the knitwear is worn falling on the shoulders, the sleeves are long.romanticism and femininity for the stain and lace dresses, slit and the sparkle of a draped velvet dress on yellow or flamboyant green.ton note : the pleated skirts on scottish patterns, dresses with floral prints of great delicacy, and the blousons richly decorated with embroidery. interview with antonio marras :it’s a botanist born in sardinia, but especially italo calvino’s mother who was the biggest italian writer. i think that fashion is really the way to speak with other disciplines, so i also thought of finding another super important woman in my life who is pina bausch. then in homage to eva mamelie, it’s really the flower prints, the incrustation of embroidery on the coats and on the jackets. and concerning pina bausch, i recruted 20 dancers who did the choreography which are the elements of disruption… you say to yourself “but what is happening” and that’s what i like to do. i love contrasts so i thought of putting men and women of completely different ages on the catwalk because i think everyone can dress like that. music from the show (only to be used in the context of the show, protected by the right to information.)
