Dsquared2 Fashion show - MENS collection Autumn-Winter 2016/17 in Milan (with interview)

A mix of cultures on the stage for Dsquared2 with a Japanese spirit that mixes with British eccentricity for a collection that’s elegant, young and urban. Designers: Dean & Dan CatenSilhouette: A play on layers, with a quilt for men that is worn over trousers and a shirt that transforms into a kimono. Many embellishments adorn the clothes (sequin embroidery, florescent beads and zips)Fabrics: Denim, leather, silk, cotton, satin, nylonPatterns: Manga and tartans intermingleColours: Black, white, red, a touch of florescence and silver To note: The XXL puffa jackets printed in mangaInterview from Dean and Dan Caten:It’s about the silhouettes I think and also the shapes and the movement. There are big moving elements even in jackets and coats that open and fly pieces of trousers that open and fly; it’s really nice in action actually. So it is very shiny and Asian looking. It gives you the reference of a kimono. There’s a relaxed bit of colour and then there’s the really bright colored studs on fused leather which are really trendy, they recall a techno video game where the lights go up and down, it’s really cute. There’s a moment of high energy. Music of the show
