Missoni - Women's Fall/Winter 2014/15 Collection in Milan (with itw)

At Missoni, the colour sets the tone! Warm, bright shades of orange, yellow and blue dominate the energetic palette of this collection, where comfort prevails. A wide range of knitwear (80% of the wardrobe) offers a slinky skirt, a body-skimming dress, jogging bottoms, a jacket, an overcoat, a pullover…Mosaics of colour form the new graphic patterns of these clothes. Extensive work on textures creates a variety of exaggerated and skillful effects, by mixing everything together. Cargo pants become the essential legwear of the season, teamed with a thin polo shirt. All we want to do is curl up in this extremely cosy and functional wardrobe.Interview:Angela Missoni:I mainly worked with my signature materials, such as knitwear which is present throughout 85% of the collection and lots of the things that you saw, that maybe you thought was fabricated in another material were actually made of wool. I worked on the linings; there was a lot of research into knitwear, both fine and thick and the textures too. The really bold colour effects that highlight the character and the line of the clothes give this freshness to the entire collection. The sportswear side was derived from these strong colours, to emphasise the silhouettes, even in the parkas or sailors coats which originally came from this sporty idea.
