Design Swimwear - Spring/Summer 2021 (Trendzoom)

Swimwear explodes onto the SS21 scene with fresh designs that connect to a newfound awareness. Mindful consumers will seek out conscious designs with a no-waste or altruistic narrative, that also fulfill their emotional and physical needs. Designers will challenge the system and explore new ways to minimise the environmental impact of production.

This dedicated swimwear report covers swimwear and beach related styling for WOMEN/youth and MEN/youth categories. All the detailed sketches are fully downloadable and easy to adapt. Our three themes SOURCE, RESET & VOICE face up to the challenges of design and explore the coming season from new perspectives.

SOURCE - Design connects with nature through organic style lines and surface pattern. Source is a contrast between ‘soft’ nature-inspired design and ‘hard’ utility styles shaped by the idea of protection and survival.



RESET - Minimal, pared-back shapes with emphasis on dynamic cuts and playful experiments. Reset explores a balance of clean, lean design and soft tactile surfaces that connect to the home.



VOICE - Storytelling adds a unique voice, which reconnects to the past and breathes new life into craft-led design. Voice celebrates the individual, with uniquely personal designs, custom detailing and crafted finishing.
